How do I stop emails about an event?
Turn off the event's Email on the Notifications tab of your account page, or use the unsubscribe link in an event email.
Open the account control at the top of your page for the event (your initials), choose Account and open the Notifications tab. There is a row per event you are invited to, with events that are over under Past, one of the chips under Filter beside the search. Open one: its Email switch is on while that host's emails reach you. Turn it off to stop them, or on again to start them. An event has the switch when its host has you on their guest list. Turn off everything, above the list, stops email and texts for every event, after a second press; choose Emailing you under Filter first to turn off email alone. On the website, once nothing is on, it reads Turn on everything and turns email back on for every event still ahead; texts stay off. In the app, open Account → Communication preferences, where the same switches are under Messages from hosts. An older version of the app lists Messages from hosts on the Account screen itself.
Messages still show up on each event's page. Receipts for your own RSVP always arrive.
You can also open an invitation or other bulk email about the event and follow its unsubscribe link. Complete the confirmation on the page.
Unsubscribing does not change your RSVP. If you are no longer coming, change your answer or tell your host.
Emails that complete something you asked for, such as a sign-in email or RSVP confirmation, are separate from bulk event messages.
A venue's mailing list is separate too. See How do I leave a venue's mailing list?.
