What’s new

What changed in Cut the Cake, newest first.

  1. Start from an AI assistant, and bring back past guests

    • Start an invitation from an AI assistant. Describe the party and it opens a draft with your details filled in.
    • With the Cut the Cake connector, an assistant you approve can shape the invitation, pick a cover and add guests while you watch.
    • Add guests from your past parties.
    • Guests’ questions have a tab of their own in Messaging.
    • An RSVP you record by hand can carry the guest’s email, so the answer becomes theirs.
    • Guest emails have a refreshed look.
    • The app picks up an update without being force-quit.
    • The Android app is on Google Play.
    • The host plan can be bought in the iOS app.
  2. Simpler to set up

    • Every feature has one place, the Features page, with one sheet each. A new event starts with RSVP alone.
    • Check-in at the door is a feature of its own, with or without RSVPs.
    • The bell and your email tell you when an event needs you: a draft close to its date, invitations with no answer yet, one that didn’t arrive.
    • The date and time sit on one card, with a month to pick from.
    • Guests are counted as people: 18 guests from 10 invitations.
    • Signing in is easier. The email field catches typos like gmial.com.
    • Clearer wording throughout.
