How do I add information and change the words guests see?

Add your own sections in Design → Details. To rewrite the built-in pages, turn on Custom wording and use Change the wording.

Open Design → Details to add your own sections, such as parking instructions or the schedule. Suggested sections are offered to start from, among them What to wear, which is where a dress code goes; an Attire line from before is moved into that section, so guests read it once. What to bring is no longer suggested, because the Potluck feature is where guests sign up to bring things; a section you already wrote under that heading stays. Gifts is for a registry or a line asking for no gifts.

A link pasted into a section, starting with https:// or www., is one guests can tap. It shows as the name of the site it leads to. Nothing else is formatted.

A section needs a heading and something written under it before it saves. An older section with only a heading stays in your list but is not shown to guests until you write under it or remove it.

To tell guests something once they have said they are coming, add sections to the confirmation: they are under Anything else in Change the wording → The confirmation, which appears once Custom wording is on. Guests who answer yes or maybe see them after they RSVP and on Guest home, their page for the event, while Custom wording is on; switched off, they are hidden and kept. Guests who decline do not see them. Anyone with the event link could still find these words, so keep door codes and other secrets out of them.

The built-in pages, the RSVP, the confirmation, the guest home and the closed doors, read our words until you turn on Custom wording in Manage → Features. Then Change the wording appears at the foot of Details, the last thing in the room; nothing follows your sections while it is off. RSVP-specific pages appear only when the event takes RSVPs here. See How do I write the guest pages in my own words?.

Each passage has its own length limit, and the event description can be up to 2,000 characters. Words past a limit are not saved; the editor says so rather than cutting them.

Use the preview to check the words in the state where guests will read them. A message for a full event should explain that situation, not read like the invitation before anyone has answered.

Changing the guest-page wording does not change automatic email templates. Those live under Manage → Messaging.
