How do I write the guest pages in my own words?
Turn on Custom wording in Manage → Features, then open Change the wording at the foot of Design → Details.
Every guest page comes with words already written. To write your own, turn on Custom wording: open Manage → Features and press Turn on on its card. It is off for a new event.
While it is on, Change the wording appears at the foot of Design → Details, after your sections. It opens four pages, each with a preview:
- The RSVP: the form's heading, its buttons and what a guest reads after answering.
- The confirmation: what a guest reads after they say yes, maybe or no, and sections only guests who are coming see.
- Guest home: the page a guest returns to, and what each part of it says before anything is in it.
- Closed doors: what a guest reads once something has closed, such as replies after the deadline or the album after you archive.
Turning it off
Off, guests read our words on those four pages again, and the confirmation's own sections are hidden. Nothing you wrote is deleted: turn Custom wording back on and your words return exactly as you left them. The card says how many pages hold your words, such as Off · 2 pages kept.
Custom wording covers only those four pages. The words you write in Design → Basics and Design → Details, such as the title, the description, your own sections and the line telling guests to just come, are yours whether it is on or off.
A venue's house words, set in its profile under How you say it, are the venue's rather than one event's, so a new event from that venue reads them even with Custom wording off.
The confirmation's own sections, the ones only guests who are coming read, follow the same switch: off, guests don't see them and they stay saved; on, they come back as you wrote them. The card counts the confirmation among the pages kept while it holds sections.
Events that already held their own words or confirmation sections when Custom wording arrived have it turned on, so none of their guest pages changed.
