Can I use tickets or hold an event without RSVPs?
Switch off Ask guests to RSVP in Design → Details, or switch RSVP off in its sheet on Manage → Features, so guests just come. A ticket link beside the RSVP is in the same sheet.
RSVP is a feature with a switch, on for every new event. The switch is Ask guests to RSVP under The RSVP in Design → Details, and the same switch sits in RSVP's sheet, from the RSVP card on Manage → Features.
No RSVP: guests just come
Switch off Ask guests to RSVP, or switch RSVP off in its sheet. Guests are no longer asked to answer, and the invitation tells them to just come; you can change those words in Design → Details while RSVP is off. Answers you already have are kept, and they come back if you turn RSVP on again.
Your guest list is still who gets the invitation. Guests stays, without the chips about answers; in an app version before 1.3, the Guests tab is hidden until you turn RSVP back on, and Invite stays. To check guests in as they arrive, turn on Check-in in Manage → Features, which works without an RSVP.
Menu, Potluck, the Guest map, Nametags, Seating and Some guests join later are built on the RSVP. While it is off their cards read Needs RSVP: guests don't see them, and each keeps its switch and whatever it holds. Awards is not built on the RSVP and runs either way.
Turning RSVP off or on also re-applies Who can come (in your event's settings: Settings at the top of the Overview, the settings mark in the app, or Manage → Hosts & privacy in an app version before 1.3) to match. With RSVP off, Just your guest list means only the people you invite can open the page. If you turn RSVP back on, it stays that way: the invitation is still hidden from anyone not on your list until you uncheck Hide the invitation from anyone not on the list. Tickets
Enter your ticket page under Guests buy tickets in the RSVP sheet. An address typed without its start, such as tock.com/your-event, is saved and shown as https://tock.com/your-event, and Open ↗ under the field opens it so you can check it. Guests then see a Buy tickets button beside the RSVP, and again when they say they are coming. Guests buy on the ticket service's own page; the guest page does not replace its checkout. The button shows only while RSVP is on; clear the link to take it away.
Tickets without an RSVP are not offered as their own setting. To send guests only to your ticket page, switch RSVP off and add a section with the link in Design → Details.
Check the preview after either change so the invitation gives guests the right next step.
