What do the Insights numbers mean?

Insights is a feature, off for a new event: turn it on in Manage → Features, and Insights joins the features in the sidebar, on the website and in the app. On an event that asks guests to RSVP, it can be suggested once ten invitations have been answered, on your Overview and on its card. The app has the same tiles.

Settings at the top of the page opens its sheet, where you can switch it off; nothing is lost when you do.

It follows the event

Before the event, Insights leads with invitations, replies and the headcount. While it's on, it leads with who has arrived. Afterwards, it leads with how many came, then the photos and guestbook notes that came in.

A tile appears once it has something to show. Here appears with the first guest checked in at the door and the Arrivals chart with the second, and a feature you haven't turned on gets no tile. Headcounts and arrivals need RSVP to be on.

Each tile links to where you act on it: the guests who haven't answered, a nudge ready to send, the Menu tab.

Guests and invitations

Replies and the invitation funnel count invitations. Coming counts guests. An invitation for four is one reply and four guests. Hosts who haven't answered their own invitation are not in these numbers, nor in the count on the Guests tab.

A reply added by hand or through a shared link has no invitation behind it, so the funnel counts it separately.

The food headcount counts a child as half a plate, rounded up. Check the individual responses before making final arrangements with a caterer.

What changed since you last looked

Each number counts up from the one this device last showed you, and says what moved, such as "+4 since Tuesday". A number that hasn't changed stays still.

Pin and hide

Press Settings at the top of the page, then Customize, to hide tiles or pin them to the top. Pinned tiles stay first before, during and after the event. Your arrangement applies to every event you run, on the web and in the app.

Who sees photos and notes

The photo, guestbook and after-the-event tiles appear for the event's hosts and co-hosts. A venue coordinator sees them on the venue's own events, and not on one handed to a host outside the venue.
