How do I prepare and print nametags?

Nametags needs an event that takes RSVPs here. Open Manage → Features and press Turn on on the Nametags card. Guests who are coming make their own from their guest page: a name, pronouns, a few charms and a short caption, all of which print.

Guests can make or change a nametag until the event starts, unless you choose another time. On the website, press Settings at the top of the Nametags tab and find Guests can make a nametag until: When the party starts, A day before if a shop prints them, or A time you set. Guest home tells them the time. After it the builder closes, and moving the time later opens it again. A guest on an older version of the app may see nametags close a day before the event whatever you choose; they can still make theirs by opening the invitation link in a browser.

You and your co-hosts make a nametag without answering your own invitation. While guests can still make one, the first button on the Nametags tab is your own: Make your nametag, filled until you have made it, then Change your nametag. It opens the same builder guests use, with your name to start from. Your tag is listed and printed under Hosts. If you answer Yes or Maybe to your own invitation, the button opens the nametags on your answer instead, and a tag you made as a host stops printing; it prints again if your answer turns to No. A venue's coordinators and event staff make one only from the guest list. The app shows the button and prints host tags once it has updated.

Open Manage → Nametags. The headline says how many guests have made one. On the website the chips sit under Filter, beside Find a guest, and stay open while one other than Everyone is chosen. The chips count people: Done and Not yet narrow the list, Partly done lists everyone on an invitation where some have made theirs and some haven't, and Maybes appears when maybes print too. Whether maybes print is Print nametags for maybes in Nametags settings, where guests can answer Maybe; their cards carry a small open circle so the ones nobody collects are easy to set aside. A chip is there only when it would change what you are looking at. Before anybody has made one there are no chips at all, because the list is already everyone. Find a guest searches names and tables. Everyone on the list prints, whether or not they made a tag; a guest who didn't gets their name alone.

Before the event, when some guests who are coming haven't made theirs, a button such as Remind the 5 guests opens Messaging with a nametag reminder written and addressed to those guests. It counts guests because a message goes to each guest once; the chips count people. When some people on one invitation have made theirs and others haven't, the guest is marked On their invitation: 1 of 2 made, which is why a guest with a finished tag can still be reminded: they can make the others' in the builder. Each email says whose tags are missing in a sentence that fits who is on the invitation, such as "yours isn't made yet", "you and Wren still need one" or "four of you still need one", and its link opens the builder on the first person still to make one. The audience is worked out again when the message sends, so anyone who makes their tag in the meantime is left out.

Print nametags (in the app, with the count, such as Print 12 nametags) prints the view you are looking at: everyone, or just one of the chips, when it reads like Print these 5. On the website, press a guest to see their tag as it will print, and Print just this one for a late addition. The print page offers Stickers or Table tents, chosen for each print run; it opens on Stickers. Start on sticker begins on a partly used sheet so one late tag does not cost a fresh one. The app prints a plainer sheet through the device's printing flow; print from the website for stickers or table tents.

Print a test sheet on the paper you intend to use before committing the whole set.

In the two days before the event, your Overview asks you to print the nametags until you do, and again if a guest changes or makes a nametag after you printed. Printing the test data does not count.
