How do I invite some guests to join later?

Some guests join later is off for a new event, and the Design room shows nothing of it until it is on.

1. Open Manage → Features and press Turn on on the Some guests join later card. Your Overview may suggest it too, for a meal where more guests are invited than the guest limit has room for, or where more than 20 are expected.
2. The sheet asks When do later guests arrive? Choose 1 hour after the start, 1½ hours after the start, 2 hours after the start, or Custom for a time of your own, which has to fall after the start and before the end. Choosing one turns the feature on.
3. Put each guest in From the start or Joins later: open them on Manage → Guests and set Group under Invitation; in an app version before 1.3, use Manage → Invite.

The same sheet sets Room for later guests, a separate limit counting only the guests who join later, and, when the Menu is on, Later guests pick a dish too. Without it, later guests are not asked for a dish.

Once it is on, Design → Basics shows when later guests arrive between the start and the end, as Later guests, which opens the sheet. The words later guests read about their time are right under it, and you can edit them there beside the preview. Check the invitation preview for each group before sending.

When the event moves

The later time is kept as a distance from the start, so when you move the event's start, the later time moves with it. Your Overview then says where the start and the later time now land, with Change to pick a new later time and Got it to dismiss it. If the move would bring later guests after the event ends, the Design room refuses it and asks you to change when they arrive first. It does the same for an end that would finish the party before they arrive.

Turning it off

Switch it off in its sheet. The later time is cleared, so turning it back on asks when later guests arrive again. Every guest keeps their group and the later group keeps its limit, ready for when you turn it back on.
