How do I use Cut the Cake in ChatGPT, Claude or Muse?

Add Cut the Cake to your assistant once. After that, ask for what you want in your own words: "make an invitation for New Year's Eve at our place, 8 till 1, potluck", "add these people to my guest list", "who hasn't answered?". The assistant does the work on Cut the Cake and you see each change on your own screen.

In ChatGPT

1. Open ChatGPT and choose Plugins in the sidebar.
2. Search for Cut the Cake and open it. It's the one by Sopris, LLC.
3. Add it. When ChatGPT asks, sign in to Cut the Cake and approve it (below).
4. Start a chat and ask. If ChatGPT doesn't reach for Cut the Cake on its own, name it: "use Cut the Cake to …".

In Claude

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector.
2. Name it Cut the Cake and give it this address: https://cutthecake.co/api/mcp
3. Press Connect, sign in to Cut the Cake and approve it (below).
4. Start a chat and ask.

In Muse

Muse is Meta's assistant, at https://muse.ai and in its app.

1. In a Muse chat, write: "Connect the custom connector for this MCP server: https://cutthecake.co/api/mcp".
2. Muse shows a Connect button. Press it, sign in to Cut the Cake and approve it (below).
3. Muse may ask "Allow Muse to share information with cutthecake.co?" before it first uses the connection. Allow it.
4. Ask for what you want in the same chat.

Approving it

Cut the Cake shows one page that says what the assistant may do, for example "Muse can edit all your events." Press Allow, or Customize first to choose which events it may open and whether it may read who's coming by name. The assistant never sends an invitation or a message and never deletes anything. Publishing your invitation is always your own press.

What differs between them

• A picture from the chat as your cover works in ChatGPT only. In Muse, ask it to find a cover photo, or upload your own in Design.
• Your guest list drawn in the chat works in ChatGPT and Claude. With See who’s coming, by name on, Muse can still tell you who's coming and who hasn't answered, in words.
• Publishing from the chat: ChatGPT and Claude can show a Publish button you press. Muse tells you when the invitation is ready and gives you the link to publish it on Cut the Cake.

Using a different assistant?

Gemini, Copilot or any other assistant can still start your invitation. Ask it: "Read cutthecake.co/start and write me a start link for my party", then describe the party. Open the link it gives you to see the invitation with your details filled in, and keep it if you like it. Can ChatGPT or Claude start my event?
