# How do I make my invitation open like an envelope?

Turn on the Opening in Manage → Features. Guests meet a sealed envelope and press it to open the invitation.

Open **Manage → Features** and press **Turn on** on the **Opening** card. A guest who follows your link then meets a sealed envelope carrying the party's name, and presses it to open the invitation.

**On the seal** in the same sheet sets what is pressed into the seal: up to three characters, such as initials. It starts as the first letter of the party's name, and goes back to that letter if you clear it.

The same sheet has three more choices:

- **The seal** is how it looks: **Flat**, a clean disc; **Wax**, poured sealing wax with the letters pressed in; **Embossed**, pressed into the envelope's own paper; or **Stamp**, an inked stamp.
- **The seal's color** is your invitation's **Accent**, **Highlight** or **Ink**, or **Sealing red**. An embossed seal has no color of its own.
- **How it opens** is one of five: **Part**, **Flap**, **Doors**, **Iris** or **Lift**. Each has a small envelope beside it that plays when you pick it, and a **Preview** button that plays it over your real invitation. Nothing you press in a preview is saved; **Close preview** takes you back.

A new Opening starts as a flat seal in your accent color that parts.

A guest sees the envelope once on each device, and never after they have answered. It stops appearing once the party starts. Someone whose device is set to reduce motion still presses the seal, and the envelope fades away without moving.

To see it yourself, open **Design** and press **Opening** above the preview.

## Confetti on a yes

When a guest answers yes, confetti in your invitation's colors falls over their confirmation. It needs no feature turned on. It plays for a first yes and for an answer changed to a yes, not for a maybe or a no, and not on a device set to reduce motion.
