# Should I archive, unpublish or delete my event?

Archive to keep a readable record, unpublish to take the guest page offline, or delete to move the event to the recycle bin.

Open **Manage → Settings → Ending** and choose the action that matches what you want.

- **Archive:** closes the event to new contributions while keeping its existing guest page readable to people who may access it.
- **Unpublish:** takes the live guest page offline and returns the event to a draft.
- **Delete:** moves the event to the recycle bin.

Items in the recycle bin are retained for 30 days. Restore them within that window if needed.

Unpublishing or deleting does not make a previously published event count as unused for the free-event allowance.
