# How do I set or reset my password?

Set a password from Account, or use Forgot password if you already have one and cannot remember it.

You can sign in using an email link or code without setting a password.

To add a password, sign in first and open **Account**. Use the password controls there. The form explains the password requirements. When changing an existing password through the form, enter the current password too.

If you have forgotten it, use **Forgot password** on the sign-in page and follow the reset link in the email.

If you receive a password-change notice you did not expect, sign in with a fresh email link, use **Sign out everywhere** in Account, and change the password. [Contact us](https://cutthecake.co/contact) if you need help.
