# How do I change how my pages look?

Open Account, then Settings, then Appearance. Light or dark is set for each device. The band and the color follow your account, and your invitations keep their own colors.

Open **Account**, then **Settings** at the top of the page (the settings mark in the app), then **Appearance**.

## Light or dark

Choose **Match system**, **Light** or **Dark**. This is kept on each device, so your phone and your laptop can differ.

## Band and color

The band is the picture across the top of your own pages. Choose a **Band** (House, Sprinkles, Paper sun, Streamers, Moonrise or Deco) and a **Color** (Berry, Plum, Marigold, Fir, Midnight or Rose). The color also sets your buttons, links and selected choices.

Both follow your account, so they are the same on the website and in the app, on every device you sign in on. Your pages change as soon as you choose. If a choice does not save, the one before it comes back and the page says so.

In an app version before 1.3, there is no **Band** or **Color**, and the app shows the house band in Berry whatever you chose.

## What guests see

Only your own pages change. Your invitations, guest pages, emails and link previews keep the colors you chose for each event in the Design room. See [How do I change the cover, colors and fonts?](https://cutthecake.co/help/hosting/change-look).
